i know you have all seen my posts on Birth Documentaries. i feel bad that i practically acost pregnant women at the grocery store and start jumping up and down any time a friend shares the news that she is with child.
“eeeeeeeep! congratulations! i can’t wait to be in the delivery room with you!”
and then people stare blankly at me. “are you kidding me!?! i don’t want pictures of THAT!”
so let’s clarify some things here:
first and foremost… i don’t want pictures of THAT either! so i don’t take it. because heaven help me i did and then got it home on my monitor and BAM! we’re suddenly BFFs and closer than any two women should be with each other unless one of them is holding a medical license.
secondly… you do want photos of the first time you held your child. and a photo of the way your husband looked at you like you were his superhero. or the way he kissed and held your hand. wiped your tears
of the quiet anticipationthe way you held you held a tangible form of a miracle between your hands!
the moment your baby become it’s own person.
and dad fell in love
and she had her first photoshoot!
the first time you were so happy to see your child that you couldn’t do anything but cry
the moment you became a family
and all of your dreams came true.you DO want a photo of THAT
