it seems like every story told about us…. is a “meant-to-be”
Derrick and Meg’s story was celebrated under the crisp summer air, with a gentle breeze blowing about the leaves
and just as magnificently… Meg sat in her make up chair excitedly – smiling nonstop!
their friends and family surrounded her happily and filled the air with laughter the entire day
i had mentioned to Meg’s mom that no matter how detailed and intricate the wedding planning process had been, Meg always found time to meet me for lunch and gush her way through sentiments she held for her relationship. for her future husband. and for their life together.
i will always cherish and protect those moments
This beautiful day wasn’t so because of the details involved in every aspect of their wedding – but because it was an outward representation of the warm, cozy, quiet and breezy nature of the relationship they truly share and cultivate with each other.
Meg… you shine. brilliantly. and it makes me the happiest photographer in the world to see you smile so wonderfully with your heart on your wedding day!
not to be left out, the babies joined in the wedding festivities
Derrick and Meg decided to meet before the ceremony. Meg stopped just before walking up to meet Derrick and fanned away tears.
of course, Parie Designs was the creative mind behind this beautiful afternoon! Every detail, flower, and guest area was thoughtful, precise, and stunning!!!
Guests enjoyed a pre-ceremony cocktail hour
do you know what to do here? No?
just smile and walk. smile and walk
Derrick and Meg…. where do i begin? i feel like not every photographer is so lucky to consider their couples as friends. but the way you two have come into our lives and really blessed us with your friendship, hearts, and contagious happiness is a true testimony to the wonderful people that you are. thank you for what you have done for me – for being a pillar of support. for holding my hand. for lending an ear. and for projecting the kind of relational foundation that we all should aspire to create in our own relationships. i never thought i would be more content with seeing someone’s wedding day come and go – allowing me to only have our friendship to maintain 🙂 Thank you for sharing this journey with me every step of the way. for taking time out of your lives to participate in mine and laken’s life. and most importantly for allowing me the true honor of interpreting this very special day for the two of you. i love you (and your families) tremendously and look forward to a lifetime of friendship with the two of you!!!
